Good coffee, nice Açai bowls (the pistachio creme <3, hummus, salads etc. and very friendly staff. Loved to start my mornings around there.
Finding authentic Israeli cuisine in Sydney can be a challenge, but Chapter E in Darlinghurst is a rare and rewarding discovery. Nestled in this vibrant neighborhood, the street cafe brings the true essence of Israeli flavors to life, far beyond the standard imitations often found elsewhere. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the warm ambiance and enticing aromas that hinted at the culinary journey ahead. The menu is a celebration of Israeli cuisine, offering a diverse array of dishes that showcase traditional ingredients and techniques with a modern touch. Each dish we tried was a testament to authenticity, skillfully prepared with fresh ingredients and a perfect balance of spices. The vibrant colors, textures, and flavors transport you directly to the heart of Israel, making every bite an experience in itself. I liked Israeli shwarma the most. One suggestion for the owner would be to introduce a tasting plate, allowing guests to sample a selection of dishes in smaller portions. This would be ideal for newcomers to Israeli cuisine, or for those who, like us, found it nearly impossible to choose just one dish from such an enticing menu. Having a variety of flavors in one sitting would enhance the experience and make it easier to explore the wide range of offerings. For anyone seeking an authentic Israeli culinary experience in Sydney, Chapter E is a must-visit. Highly recommended for its dedication to quality, authenticity, and the joy of sharing true Israeli flavors with the local community. An unforgettable dining experience that will leave you craving your next visit.
We had the Malawach Sabich, Shakshuka and Falafel. Oh…seriously flavoursome. And we finished off with a massive bowl of Açai topped with peanut butter. Apparently pistachio would have been better ! Next time !! Service was prompt and courteous. And Issi is proud of his food and recommends his best dishes.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting this cozy cafe, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations! The food was absolutely amazing. The Malawach Sabich was a standout – the flaky bread, combined with the rich hummus, tender eggplant, and perfectly cooked egg, made for an unforgettable meal. Every bite was bursting with flavor. The shawarma plate, even at 8 am, was a foodie's dream – full of bold, savory spices and perfectly tender meat. Paired with an almond croissant, it was an incredible start to my day. The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and flexible, always ready to accommodate any request. You can feel how much they care about their guests’ experience, making you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. While the cafe may be small, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the authenticity of the food shines through every dish. Whether you're looking for a unique meal or just a cozy spot to enjoy a great drink like their refreshing limonana, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience!
The food is so amazing we came here twice on a three day trip and the staff are so friendly.
Great for nursing a hangover, wish I found this earlier during my stay so I could try the other things on the menu
The food is amazing. The Malawach Sabich was delicious with its flaky bread and the scrumptious filling - the hummus, the eggplant, the egg. The staff was so welcoming, friendly, and flexible - they fulfil all your wishes! Definitely not the last time I come here!
What a great find! The coffee was excellent and the falafel wraps were seriously delicious. Going back today for another coffee and try something else from the menu. Thank you! Your staff were so lovely too.
Had the falafel wrap with the detox juice. Generous size wrap. Friendly staff.
Essen war lecker. Nette Leute arbeiten dort. Sitzgelegenheiten sind nicht ideal, aber perfekt für takeaway. Definitiv wert hinzugehen. ✌️
Great little place to enjoy breakfast. I can definitely recommend the shakshuka and the açai bowl. The latter could have a bit more muesli, but tastes awesome! Great coffee as always in Sydney!
Amazing cafe with great food and delicious affordable coffee. Perfect way to start the day, and a seat on the sidewalk is a fun spot to watch the city wake up. All the employees are great, and I'd highly recommend stopping by if you're in the neighborhood.
Highly recommend. Mouth watering shawarma plate at 8 am is a foodies delight. The cafe was small but the shawarma and almond croissant were too good.
They have really great falafel wraps and good deals. Had a very satisfying lunch there.
Absolutely lovely staff here, felt so welcomed. I only had a coffee, but it was great. Customer service and friendliness, gold stars 🌟
Wonderful food, great host, clean and very friendly staff. The taste is unique and extremely delightful. Will definitely return... soon 🙂
We discovered this place on a weekend break to Sydney as it was midway between our hotel and the train station ... and we're really grateful. The owner was so welcoming and, judging by the number of happy regular customers that pass by and shout greetings, the café is obviously highly-regarded within the community. The coffee and chai tea were both delicious, as was the food ... and all the staff work very hard to give great service. Next time we're in Sydney we'll definitely be back!
Yummy food full with flavors Cool stuff and a really good service The best falafel in town!!
The most delicious place I ate in Sydney. Great Mediterranean food, fresh, clean and super tasty. Great prices. Excellent service and friendly staff. We really enjoyed and will surely come back (probably more than once...🤣) Highly recommended!!!
We stopped in for a couple of açai bowls this morning, and they were excellent! Very friendly establishment, owner clearly cares about what he’s serving his customers. Highly recommend!
Amazing people, going above and beyond. Food was exquisite and would drive from Melbourne again just for the food. We had malawach sabich, falafel and açai bowl and it was rediculously tasty.
I am so happy to find a good falafel pocket sandwich place! A bit far from home but definitely worthy to walk to get you! 👍
Found it when searching for a restaurant that has the yemeni malawach on their menu, and when I noticed that Chapter E offer catering, I jumped on the opportunity to take some good food with me to a getaway with friends during this Easter break. Best decision ever! We were a group of 15 and everyone loved the variety, quality and range of salads and dips. We had humous, eggplant dip, matbucha, israeli salad, cabbage salad, tabbouli, chicken shawarma, falafel, meatballs and schnitzels. Issi has gone out of his way to not only fulfill the usual catering menu, but also my wish to finally eat malawach which I requested frozen to prepare freshly, with tomato salsa and schug (chilli) sauce. I am looking forward to experiencing the food in situ next time I'm in Darlinghurst.
Great place for a healthy nourishing meal, needless to say it was absolutely delicious. Amazing staff and good prices.
Lovely atmosphere, brilliant food packed full of flavour! Best of all the coffee is excellent! Very friendly owner.
Delicious coffee and food, lots of options for vegans. Had an iced oat flat white, perfect for the sunny weather, and acai bowl (vegan), which was like ice cream and huge. I left full for half a day. The service is really polite and welcoming. You can see that they know their regulars which makes the place very homely. I came back here and during the second visit ate a hummus & falafel wrap- highly recommend.
The falafel wrap here is amazing!!! One of the best I’ve ever had. The brownie with chocolate and hazelnuts was also delightful! It’s a small spot with not too many tables and not the most amazing atmosphere but the food makes up for it!
absolutely gorgeous food and spot, everything was more than delicious. beautiful service. thank you!
Best Falafel in the world! The owner is a very nice guy! We will back! Thank you so much!
Nicht ganz günstig, aber jeden Cent wert. Sehr leckeres Frühstück, großartige Säfte und toller Kaffee. Klare Empfehlung.
I’ve walked past this cafe for months, with the grungey street out the front putting me off ever stopping in. Now that I have finally tried them out, I regret how shallow I was! The coffee is amazing, and the servings are huge for the price - I normally get a falafel wrap or falafel plate. This is my new favourite cafe in the area. If only there was a bit more room for a dining in area it would be about perfect.
Super nice place! The man who was helping us was very friendly and the food was good. Definitely going back here to try out more of the menu!
Top spot. Great management and delicious middle eastern food. One of my favourites in Sydney
best ever breakfast shop. I felt so much better and energetic with breakfast from here.
Excellent location, delicious food and food of the day. The owner is a super friendly person.
